Caramel cartomizer IQOS in Panama City: the budget shortlist
Caramel in Panama City: 9 units tested over 6 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Panama.
Ordering IQOS to Panama City: the practical version
Caramel in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Panama City the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on caramel: 9 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a caramel cartomizer really costs in Panama City
We run caramel the same way in Panama City: same cartomizer, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested caramel in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Panama, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Panama stocks.
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for caramel in Panama must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Panama sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Panama City: about B/.2.82 per 10 ml liquid plus B/.30 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is caramel legal to sell in Panama?
Panama applies its own import permit process for nicotine goods.
