Ordering IQOS to Panama City: the practical version
If you are looking at pear in Panama, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run pear the same way in Panama City: same cartomizer, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: pear in Panama City works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear cartomizer really costs in Panama City
If you are looking at pear in Panama, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested pear in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Panama, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Panama, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where pear goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Panama stocks.
- Treating the advertised B/.29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run B/.3.03 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Panama City survives.
The rules that apply here
Panama applies its own import permit process for nicotine goods.
Retail sales in Panama sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Pear | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | cartomizer | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 9 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Panama |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Panama | 4–9 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | B/.29 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | B/.3.03 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Panama City: about B/.3.03 per 10 ml liquid plus B/.29 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Panama allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
