Plain starter kit IQOS in Panama City: the price shortlist
Plain in Panama City: 7 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Panama.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plain habit
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Panama City that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within B/.2.6 per 10 ml.
We run plain the same way in Panama City: same starter kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: plain in Panama City works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain starter kit really costs in Panama City
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Panama. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plain in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Panama, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plain goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Panama sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for plain in Panama must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within B/.2.6 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Panama City: about B/.2.6 per 10 ml liquid plus B/.46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does plain in a starter kit last?
In Panama City we measured 9 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
