Plum box mod IQOS in Panama City: the deals shortlist
Plum in Panama City: 14 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Panama.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Plum in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Panama City the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Panama City that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within B/.3.49 per 10 ml.
The short version: plum in Panama City works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum box mod really costs in Panama City
Plum in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Panama City the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Panama, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Panama.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plum goes wrong
- Treating the advertised B/.41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run B/.3.49 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Panama stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Panama sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Panama applies its own import permit process for nicotine goods.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Panama allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How long does plum in a box mod last?
In Panama City we measured 9 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within B/.3.49 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
