Tropical pen device IQOS in Panama City: the online shortlist
Tropical in Panama City: 6 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Panama.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Panama. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Panama City that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within B/.2.98 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical pen device really costs in Panama City
We run tropical the same way in Panama City: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Panama, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Panama, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Panama.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Panama City survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised B/.36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run B/.2.98 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Panama sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Panama applies its own import permit process for nicotine goods.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever Panama allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
Is tropical legal to sell in Panama?
Panama applies its own import permit process for nicotine goods.
