Caramel pen device IQOS in Panama City: the flat shortlist
Caramel in Panama City: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Panama.
Coil life, liquid cost and the caramel habit
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on caramel: 16 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested caramel in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Panama, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Panama, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Panama, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised B/.63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run B/.1.65 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Panama City: about B/.1.65 per 10 ml liquid plus B/.63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does caramel in a pen device last?
In Panama City we measured 7 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
